Privacy policy

This policy explains how Market3rs handles the personal data of people who visit www.market3rs.com and of people who write to us through the “Book a demo” form, under Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 (the “Privacy Code”).

What data we process and why

Browsing the site

To deliver the pages, the server that hosts the site receives your device’s IP address. The site does not record it: its technical log holds only the date and time, the page requested (without parameters), the response code and the browser, and cannot identify you.

• Purpose: running the site, protecting it from abuse and attacks, fixing faults.
• Legal basis: the controller’s legitimate interest in the security and operation of the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Retention: the site does not keep the IP address. The technical log, which holds no personal data, stays available for maintenance.

Demo requests

If you fill in the “Book a demo” form you give us your name, company, role, work email, the products you are interested in and, if you wish, a message.

• Purpose: answering your request, arranging the demo and giving you the commercial information you asked for.
• Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We do not use this data for newsletters or other marketing.
• Providing the data: the fields marked as required are needed to get back to you; without them we cannot reply. The message is optional.
• Retention: up to 24 months from the last contact. If the request turns into a business relationship, the data follows the retention periods of that relationship and of the law (for example, tax obligations).

Visit statistics (Google Analytics)

Only if you accept it in the cookie banner, the site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages and buttons are used (for example clicks on “Book a demo”). Google Analytics collects online identifiers stored in cookies, device and browser data, pages viewed, and the approximate city or region derived from the IP address; the IP address itself is neither logged nor stored.

• Purpose: aggregate statistics on how the site is used, to improve it.
• Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 122 of the Privacy Code). Without consent, Google Analytics is not loaded.
• Withdrawal: at any time, from the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing does not affect what was collected before.
• Retention: event-level data stays in Google Analytics for 2 months, user-level data for 14 months; the cookies last at most 13 months.
• Settings: Google Signals is turned off, the data is not shared with other Google products and the property is not linked to Google Ads. The site does not allow Google to use the data for advertising, shows no ads and uses no profiling cookies.

Who receives the data

The data is processed by authorised Market3rs staff and by the providers that help us run the site, appointed as processors (Art. 28 GDPR):

• Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany): hosts the site in data centres in the European Union.
• FormSubmit (formsubmit.co): receives the data from the “Book a demo” form and forwards it to Market3rs by email.
• Google Ireland Limited (Ireland): provides the email service (Google Workspace) where requests arrive and, if you consent, Google Analytics.

We do not sell or hand over the data to third parties. We may disclose it to the authorities where the law requires.

Transfers outside the European Union

Google Ireland Limited may transfer data to Google LLC in the United States. Google LLC participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, found adequate by the European Commission’s decision of 10 July 2023, and the transfers are also covered by the Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

FormSubmit may process the form data on servers outside the European Union. If you prefer your data not to go through this service, write to us directly at touchbase@market3rs.com.

How we protect the data

The site is served over HTTPS only. Access to the data is limited to the people who need it for the purposes described. We make no decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling.

Your rights

Within the limits of the GDPR (Articles 15-22) you may at any time ask to:

• access your data and receive a copy;
• rectify it if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
• erase it;
• restrict its processing;
• object to processing based on legitimate interest;
• receive it in a structured, machine-readable format (portability);
• withdraw consent you have given, without affecting what happened before the withdrawal.

To exercise them, write to touchbase@market3rs.com. The request is free and we reply within one month.

If you believe the processing breaches the GDPR you may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it), or with the supervisory authority of the country where you live or work.

The site links to Market3rs sites for the individual products and to LinkedIn. When you open them, those sites’ policies apply.

Changes

We may update this policy when the processing or the law changes. The version in force is always on this page, with the date of the last change.
